You remember more when
you have some background knowledge about what you are
reading.
To remember, PREPARE your mind by previewing
what you are about to read. Pre-read, scan, overview,
and familiarize yourself with what you are about to
read.
Preparing your mind fires up the memory engine
of the brain. Brain scans show this. Preparing also
builds hooks in our brain on which to hang
the new information. Prepare for about 16 minutes, as
needed.
